The WA Government has announced a $19.6 million investment into the GTO (Group Training Organisation) Wage Subsidy Program as part of the 2026–27 State Budget.
This funding will support an additional 330 apprenticeship and trainee positions over the next four years.
Of these, 205 positions will be subsidised at 50%, while 125 positions (including 50 for women in electrical trades) will receive a 75% subsidy.
